COMPLETED PROJECTS
DISTRICT-WIDE Security Upgrades Project
Thanks to Measure H, enhanced security upgrades are underway at Santa Rosa, Petaluma and the Public Safety Training Center in Windsor. Work includes emergency call towers with 360 degree cameras, the transition from brass keys to key cards, and more. This work at Public Safety Training Center was completed in August 2021. (Completion for all security projects districtwide occurred in May 2022.)
EMERGENCY VEHICLE OPERATIONS COURSE IMPROVEMENT
The Emergency Vehicle Operations Course is where first responders learn to handle their vehicles under extreme conditions. Measure H funded improvements to the course included resurfacing the entire training course and adding an acceleration lane to comply with CA Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) mandates.
PSTC MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING (BUILDING 1100)
Building 1100 (the new PSTC multipurpose building) was completed and open for instruction by May 2019. This innovative project used the design-build delivery method and prefabricated modular construction in order to deliver the project on time and under budget. The $5.7 million project provided a much needed second multipurpose room with support spaces totaling 7,355 square feet, allowing the center to expand its class offerings for the brave men and women who are entering careers as police officers, firefighters and emergency medical technicians.
ROOF REPAIR AND HVAC REPLACEMENT
Measure H provided for important roof repairs throughout the District. At the PSTC in Windsor, roofing repairs and replacements took place at Building 500 and the Shooting Range. This project also included much needed heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) improvements to benefit students and staff and to also provide greater energy efficiencies.
